Recently I bought some shampoo and conditioner. I was getting to the end of my current hair cleansing duo, so I bought the same kind. When I finished the old stuff, I turned the bottle upside down to see if it was recyclable. (I do this out of habit, but most of the time the plastic things I use are recyclable.) To my horror it was NOT recyclable!!! I quickly looked at the bottom of the 2 new giant bottles I purchased, and those too were not recyclable!!! FOR SHAME!!! I give our society the benefit of the doubt that plastic items these days are all recyclable... I guess not. So a hard lesson learned.. I felt like such a hypocrite! But hopefully this lesson can me passed on to others: before you even think about buying something (that something being a MUST HAVE of course) make sure you check out the bottom to see if it is in fact recyclable!
Look for the arrows of approval before you buy!
